Book Quotes: The Mortal Instruments

Elke vrijdag is er weer een nieuwe Book Quotes, waarin ik mijn favoriete quotes uit bepaalde boeken met jullie deel. Aangezien er maandag al een Fandom Merchandise van The Mortal Instruments was, moet een Book Quotes over deze geweldige serie niet ontbreken! Ik heb alleen (nog) niet het laatste deel gelezen en in het vijfde deel heb ik weinig quotes kunnen vinden, dus deze Book Quotes gaat over de eerste vier delen. In The Mortal Instruments zijn er genoeg mooie, maar ook grappige uitspraken die zeker de waard zijn om te lezen. Ik moet zeggen dat er een heleboel humoristische quotes tussen zitten en ik doe mijn best een kleine selectie te maken, maar man, er zitten zoveel grappige quotes er tussen! Ik heb nu al zin om deze serie een keertje te gaan marathonnen en dan uiteindelijk het laatste deel te gaan lezen.

City of Bones / Stad van Beenderen

”Have you fallen in love with the wrong person yet?” Jace said, ”Unfortunately, Lady of the Haven, my only true love remains myself.” ”… At least,” she said, ”you don’t have to worry about rejection, Jace Wayland.” ”Not necessarily. I turn myself down occasionally, just to keep it interesting.”

Dit is een quote die iedereen denk wel onthouden heeft van City of Bones. Jace is af en toe zo arrogant dat het te komisch is haha! Laten we meteen er nog een arrogante Jace-quote bij doen:

Simon, wat is dat toch een fantastische vent. Hij zou echt met gemak mijn beste vriend kunnen worden!

Wauw, dat is brutaal!

Oke, DIT herken ik dus, het quoten uit bepaalde series/boeken terwijl je met een tevreden en blij hoofd kijkt naar de rest, terwijl die het dus stom vinden. Nog een voorbeeld waarom Simon en ik goede vrienden kunnen zijn! Nerd-alert…

En ja, alweer een arrogante uitspraak van Jace! Hij weet gewoon niet van ophouden!
